As a patent attorney, I provide comprehensive advice in the field of patent law and support you from the initial idea to the defense of your intellectual property rights. Even before your invention is completed, I assist your research and development efforts by conducting comprehensive prior art searches. Depending on the invention, I collaborate with you to develop experiments and examples that can serve as the basis for a patent application.
Once your invention is complete, I handle the drafting of your patent application and work with you to develop a filing strategy that best fits your needs. My services include filing a patent application with the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the European Patent Office (EPO), or the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), as well as monitoring the application process and representing your interests before the patent offices. In some cases, the patent application may also be filed with the Polish Patent Office, the Luxembourg Patent Office, or in cooperation with a foreign patent attorney.
Even after the patent has been granted, I will continue to assist you and provide advice and representation in defending your patent against opposition and invalidity actions. Additionally, I will enforce your patent rights in the event of infringement.
Before launching your products on the market, I perform a freedom-to-operate analysis to minimize the risk of unintentional patent infringement. My services also include monitoring competitors, protecting against patents and utility models of competitors, and developing strategies to avoid infringing on their intellectual property rights. Additionally, I conduct legal status inquiries both domestically and abroad and provide opinions on the validity of patents. For problematic patents owned by competitors, I prepare infringement opinions and assist you with opposition or nullity actions against such patents. Furthermore, I help you draft license agreements and defend you against cease-and-desist orders and lawsuits for alleged patent infringement.
